JOB DESCRIPTION: Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator
Job Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination: Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses or end customers, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
Supplier & Partner Management: Liaise with domestic and international freight forwarders, shipping lines, and 3PL providers to book shipments, manage documentation, and track cargo status.
Documentation: Prepare, review, and manage essential shipping documents (Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Customs Declarations, and Certificates of Origin) to ensure regulatory compliance.
Supply Chain Planning: Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels. Forecast shipping requirements based on sales trends and inventory levels.
Problem Resolution: Proactively manage logistical disruptions (e.g., customs delays, port congestion, transport shortages) and provide timely solutions to minimize impact on the business.
Cost Management: Monitor and analyze logistics expenses (freight costs, insurance, port charges). Negotiate rates with carriers and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Performance Tracking: Maintain accurate logs of all shipments. Analyze logistics KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery rate, transit time, freight cost per unit) and provide monthly reports to management.
Compliance: Ensure all logistics operations comply with international trade regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related fields.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or supply chain administration.
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of incoterms, customs clearance processes, and shipping methods (Sea/Air/Road).
Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables for data tracking).
Familiarity with local import/export regulations and tax documentation.
Soft Skills:
Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and external logistics partners.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in document preparation and data entry.
Adaptability: Ability to stay calm and solve problems under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
