Key Responsibilities
Algorithm Research & Development: Design and implement advanced machine learning, deep learning, and statistical models to address specific business challenges, ranging from predictive analytics to generative AI.
Model Optimization: Improve the efficiency, scalability, and performance of AI models, ensuring they are optimized for production environments and real-time inference.
Data Strategy: Collaborate with data engineers to define data collection requirements, ensure high data quality, and implement robust preprocessing and feature engineering pipelines.
Experimentation: Conduct rigorous experimentation and A/B testing to validate hypotheses, measure model performance, and iteratively improve algorithmic accuracy and reliability.
Academic & Technical Liaison: Keep abreast of the latest research in the AI field (e.g., via papers from NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR), applying state-of-the-art techniques to current projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers and software engineers to integrate AI capabilities into existing platforms and advocate for AI-driven feature enhancements.
Technical Mentorship & Documentation: Provide technical guidance to junior developers, lead internal research seminars, and maintain comprehensive documentation of models, experiments, and architectural decisions.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or a related quantitative field.
Experience: Proven experience in designing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment. Demonstrated ability to translate research papers into functional code.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
Strong proficiency in programming languages suitable for AI research, primarily Python (and C++ for performance-critical components).
Solid foundation in linear algebra, probability, statistics, and optimization theory.
Experience with distributed computing frameworks and MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), Transformers, or Reinforcement Learning is a significant advantage.
