JOB DESCRIPTION: Mini-Supermarket Security Guard (24/7 Shift-Based)
1. Job Objective
The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers and staff at the mini-supermarket. The role involves 24/7 security coverage (shared via shifts), loss prevention, monitoring facility assets, and providing excellent customer service.
2. Key Responsibilities
24/7 Security Coverage: Maintain a continuous presence during designated shifts, ensuring the safety of the store, inventory, and staff at all times, including late-night shifts.
Loss Prevention: Monitor the sales floor, checkout counters, and storage areas to deter shoplifting and identify suspicious behavior.
Access & Traffic Control: Manage the entrance/exit; ensure a clean and orderly parking area; assist customers with parking, especially during busy periods.
Surveillance: Operate and monitor CCTV systems to track store activity; report any technical issues or security breaches immediately.
Facility Safety: Conduct regular perimeter checks; ensure fire safety equipment is accessible and emergency protocols are followed.
Customer Service: Greet customers politely, assist with heavy bags or cart management, and maintain a helpful, professional demeanor.
Reporting: Log daily activities, incident reports, and shift handovers accurately in the record book provided by store management.
3. Job Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in retail or store security is preferred; willing to work rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
Technical Skills:
Ability to use communication devices (walkie-talkies).
Basic knowledge of CCTV monitoring and alarm systems.
Familiarity with store security protocols and emergency procedures.
Soft Skills:
Alertness: High level of vigilance at all times, especially during night shifts.
Integrity: Absolute honesty and adherence to company policies.
Communication: Friendly, polite, and effective in interacting with customers.
Physical Stamina: Capable of standing/patrolling for the duration of the shift.
