We are seeking a highly analytical, vigilant, and proactive Cybersecurity Engineer to join our technology team. Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture & Implementation: Design, deploy, and manage advanced security solutions, including firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and cloud security controls.
Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests across internal systems, web applications, and cloud infrastructure to identify, document, and remediate security weaknesses.
Incident Response & Threat Hunting: Monitor system logs and security events for anomalies. Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent future recurrences.
Identity & Access Management (IAM): Oversee and audit access control systems, enforcing the principle of least privilege to ensure that data and resources are accessible only to authorized personnel.
Security Compliance & Audits: Ensure technical configurations and operational processes align with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST, GDPR). Prepare technical reports for security audits.
Security Automation: Leverage scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate routine security tasks, such as log analysis, patch management, and incident response workflows, to enhance operational efficiency.
Threat Intelligence & Awareness: Stay current on the evolving threat landscape, including new malware, exploits, and industry trends. Contribute to internal security awareness initiatives and provide guidance to development teams on secure coding practices.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in a security-focused role (e.g., Security Engineer, SOC Analyst, or Network Security Engineer). Demonstrated track record of securing enterprise-level systems and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and infrastructure security.
Proficiency with enterprise security tools (SIEM, vulnerability scanners, web application firewalls).
Hands-on experience with security in cloud-native environments and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CompTIA Security+, or GCIH) are highly preferred.
Ability to script and automate security operations to improve response times and accuracy.
